When you are looking for shipping cargo, there are many possibilities, ranging from RO/RO shipping, container to conventional. RO/RO shipping has developed during the years as a versatile way of shipping door to door.
A traditional RO/RO ship will carry out transportation of all types of larger vehicles, like trailers, trucks, heavy machinery and motor cars. These vehicles are transported to the docking bay and rolled on by itself through a ramp. They are stored below the deck. On destination the vehicles are rolled off again.
RO/RO, conventional and even containers
More and more RO/RO vessels offer ways to transport conventional, heavy and oversized cargo, and even so containers. The combination of these different cargo’s are distributed in such a way that both their loads are evenly distributed and balanced. Containers are stored on deck, heavy cargo and RO/RO cargo below deck.
